The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Assistant Engineer working in All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS), New Delhi for demanding & accepting bribe of ₹ 20,000 from the Complainant. A case was registered against an Assistant Engineer(Civil), Engineering Service Department, AIIMS, New Delhi on the allegations of demanding bribe of Rs.20,000/- from the Complainant (a Contractor) to approve the additional item and make entries in the Measurement Book for the maintenance work being executed by him.
CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red handed while demanding & accepting bribe of Rs.20,000/- from the Complainant. Searches were conducted at the premises of accused. The accused was produced before the Competent Court at Delhi and was remanded to Judicial Custody till 11.05.2023. In another case, CBI has arrested an Assistant Sub Inspector and a Head Constable in a bribery of Rs.One Lakh. A case was registered on 27.04.2023 against the accused on the allegations of demanding bribe from the Complainant to hush up the case of cyber crime against her husband. The arrested accused are being produced today before the Competent Court at Delhi
