The Himachal Herald, Shimla

PCC President  Kuldeep Singh Rathore expressed happiness over Congress Victory in 2 out of 4 MC Elections and dedicated this victory to the hardwork put in by the Party Workers . Addressing Press Conference in Rajiv Bhawan Shimla Rathore said that despite BJP in power they could only win one MC that too belonging to CM’s home District where the CM had to campaign door to door making it a prestige issue and pressurising and influencing the voters by misusing administration and Govt. machinery. In Dharamshala  BJP did not get clear majority despite blatant misuse of power .

Rathore said that after Panchayati Raj Elections he had openly challenged the Chief Minister to conduct these elections on Party Symbol which the CM has also acknowledged in his recent speeches and with the dedicated efforts of our party workers we won more number of seats than BJP in these elections and are standing comfortable with clear majority in 2 out of 4 MC’s and anything can happen in Dharamshala MC . BJP had earlier termed these elections as semi final to 2022 Vidhan Sabha Elections and the results have proved that BJP has lost faith of people .

With this victory rank and file of the party has been filled with new energy and enthusiasm which will help us win the forthcoming bye elections for Mandi Lok Sabha and Fatehpur Vidhan Sabha Elections .

Rathore said that Congress will progress further in the leadership and guidance of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Rajeev Shukla Incharge HPCC and with the able guidance of Former CM Virbhadra Singh in near future Congress will also win the 2022 Vidhan Sabha Elections .He said that out of 64 wards he himself visited 45 different wards organised more than 50 Nukkar Sabha’s established Coordination with all the senior leaders due to which part cadre worked with dedication for which he expressed gratitude to all .

BJP was forced to rope in their National Leaders Central Ministers, Chief Ministers and State Ministers to campaign door to door to influence the voters where as Congress was united and fought this election with limited resources ultimately achieving success.
