The National Statistical Office (NSO), Himachal Pradesh organized workshop for conducting surveys of unincorporated sector of Himachal Pradesh Region here today. The workshop was inaugurated by Deputy Director General (DDG) Shri Altaf Hussain Haji at NSO office, Shimla. A limited number of employees of this office attended the workshop while adhering to COVID-19 protocol and other SOPs at the venue. Shri Haji urged the NSO workforce to focus on enlisting quality response from establishments/households in providing correct information. He said that the objective of the whole exercise should be to acquire reliable data. The National Statistical Office (NSO) (erstwhile NSSO) has been in the service of the nation since 1950. It has been developing a strong database on various Socio-Economic parameters through its countrywide sample surveys, which has helped the Central as well as Stat Governments in development planning and policy formulations.
