Prime Minister congratulates award winning Panchayats

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Nation Panchayati Raj Day, 2021, today virtually addressed the event and congratulated the award-winning panchayats of the country.
Prime Minister also launched the SVAMITVA (Survey of Villages And Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas) to provide an integrated property validation solution in rural India.
Prime Minister also transferred Award Money to the bank accounts of Awardee Panchayats and released Coffee Table Book on SVAMITVA Scheme.
Prime Minister also launched e-Property Card Distribution to about 4.09 lakh property owners in 5002 villages.
The main objective of SVAMITVA scheme is to create an accurate land records for rural planning and reduce property related disputes, bring financial stability to the citizens of rural India by enabling them to use their property as a financial asset for taking loans and other financial benefits. The Panchayati Raj Departments of the States would provide support to sensitize the villagers about the project work and its intended benefits leveraging Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) funds for IEC etc. The Gram Panchayats would help the State Panchayati Raj Department and State Revenue department in timely completion of the survey and generate awareness among the residents of the village about the survey.
Union Minister Panchayati Raj Narender Singh Tomar welcomed the Prime Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and Chief Ministers of other States also joined the event virtually.
Additional Chief Secretary Revenue R.D. Dhiman, Additional Chief Secretary PWD J.C. Sharma, Secretary Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Dr Sandeep Bhatnagar, Director Rural Development of Panchayati Raj Lalit Jain were present at Shimla with the Chief Minister.
