BJP National President Sh JP Nadda on the initiative of MoS Finance & Corporate Affairs, Sh Anurag Thakur flagged off Aspatal Mobile Medical Units carrying COVID medical supplies for the state of Himachal Pradesh. The 17 Mobile Medical Units are part of Saansad Mobile Swasthya Seva, an initiative launched by Anurag Thakur three years ago to provide accessible rural healthcare services to people in his constituency Hamirpur. The Asptal initiative will cater to 12 Districts of the state and strengthen the hands of the local COVID relief efforts by providing:
1) Three Ply Mask – 3,00,000
2) N-95 Mask – 50,000
3) Gloves – 25,000
4) Face Shield – 10,000
5) PPE Kit – 7000
6) Oxygen Masks – 6000
7) NRM – 3200
8) Oxygen Regulator – 1500
9) Nasal Canula – 250
Flagging off the 17 asptal medical vans Sh JP Nadda said “our young Minister and Himachal MP Sh Anurag Thakur has been working to provide resources and relief in Himachal Pradesh since the COVID pandemic began. Today he is extending the 17 Asptal Mobile Medical Units initiative under the mantra of ‘Seva Hi Sangathan’ by providing bulk various COVID medical supplies for the benefit of every Himachali. As I flag off these Mobile Medical Units, I wish to applaud and congratulate Anurag Thakur’s efforts towards serving society and to ensure availability of resources reach the ground and help save lives. I appeal to all the karyakartas of the state to ensure this effort reaches its intended beneficiaries.”
Sh Anurag Thakur, while speaking on the occasion expressed, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Sh JP Nadda Ji for flagging off these 17 Asptal Mobile Medical Units carrying COVID relief materials for 12 districts in Himachal Pradesh. These medical resources will strengthen relief efforts in Himachal and save lives. The Asptal initiative has began three years ago and has provided free medical tests and treatment to over 5.5 Lakh people; over 65% of them as women. This initiative has been working even during the COVID period with a motivated team of doctors, nurses and lab technicians. In a short time, I am also setting up three PSA Oxygen Plants in Una, Bilaspur and Hamirpur; apart from this Oxygen plants are also being set up under PMCARES. I would like to add that as Health Minister, Sh JP Nadda allocated AIIMS, PGI Hospital along with 6 Medical Colleges to Himachal Pradesh.”
During the second wave Thakur has aggressively been ensuring that swift customs clearance for COVID relief materials is provided and it reaches beneficiaries in time. CBIC has brought down its clearance time to 8-10 minutes and there have been a few instances where the Minister himself has taken to coordinating clearances through the night on receiving SOS calls. State President BJP Suresh Kashyap thanked National BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda and Minister of state for Finance Anurag Thakur for this nobel gesture in this difficult time of Covid 19
