- CM announces opening of SDM office at Kotli and upgradation of Police Post Kotli to Police Station

- Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing the people at Kotli in Mandi district announced opening of SDM office at Kotli soon to facilitate the people of the area. He also announced Rs. 11 lakh each for four newly created gram panchayats in the segment for construction of Panchayat Bhawans, Rs. 10 lakh for repair of Kisan Bhawan at Mandi, upgradation of police post Kotli to police station, starting of two new trades in ITI Kotli, opening of Atal Adarsh School at Kotli, Rs. five lakh each for five link roads in the area, starting science classes in Government Senior Secondary School of the area. Jai Ram Thakur said that Dhua Devi area of the constituency would be developed from tourism point of view. He also announced opening of Patwar circle at Dhua Devi, upgradation of PHC Pandoh to CHC, opening of Settlement Office at Mandi, upgradation of one veterinary dispensary in area to veterinary hospital. He also announced opening of PHC at Randhara, Kot Muser. He also announced 15000 each for mahila mandals participating in the function. Chief Minister said that the three and a half years tenure of the present State Government has been full of achievements and accomplishments. He said that almost every area of the State has witnessed unparalleled development during this period. He said that despite the Corona pandemic, the State Government has ensured that the pace of development goes uninterrupted. He said that credit of this goes to the active and wholehearted support of the people of the State, which was a big source of inspiration and encouragement.
Jai Ram Thakur said that not even a single PPE kit was prepared in India, but due to the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today over 6 lakh PPE kits were being prepared per day in the country. He said that it was unfortunate that a few leaders were trying to politicize even this sensitive issue. He reminded the Congress leaders that despite the fact that they remained in power for over fifty years, there were only 50 ventilators in the State. He said that on the request of the State Government, the Prime Minister provided 500 ventilators to the State and today the State has about 800 ventilators. Similarly, there were only two oxygen plants in the State during the last fifty years and today as many as 28 oxygen plants were being established in the State, out of which 12 have already been established, he added.
Chief Minister said that the State of Himachal Pradesh has achieved the target of cent per cent first dose vaccination. He said that with this the State has become the first State in the country to achieve this unique feat. He said that a Rs 200 crore Shiv Dham was coming up in Mandi town. He said that Sanskriti Sadan was coming up in Mandi town with a cost of Rs 30 crore, Rs 22 crore have been spent on Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Cluster University Mandi and over Rs 100 crore have been spent on construction of roads, bridges and buildings in Mandi town. He said that projects worth Rs 48 crore were being implemented under Jal Jeevan Mission and Rs 68 crore under sewerage scheme in Mandi town.
Jai Ram Thakur also detailed a few developmental and welfare schemes initiated by the State Government during the last over three and a half years. He said that social security pension for old, Himcare, Sahara Yojna, Grihini Suvidha Yojna, Jan Manch has ensured welfare and betterment of every section of the society. He accused the former Minister and senior Congress leader from district for spreading canard against the State Government. He said that this shows his frustration and desperation for power.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones of 12 developmental projects worth Rs. 80 crore which include inauguration of Rs. 16.66 crore Lift Water Supply Scheme Roda Nallah Satahan in Gram Panchayat Lagdhar under Jal Jeevan Mission, Rs. 5.42 crore Rural Livelihood Centre building Sadyana and Rs. 58 lakh veterinary hospital building at Bir.
Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stones of Rs. 18.37 crore source level and improvement of lift water supply scheme Kathwari and its adjoining villages in Gram Panchayat Bir, Bari, Gumanoo, Sadhyana, Sehli, Sai, Kasan, Sadoh and Tamroh in tehsil Sadar under Jal Jeevan Mission, Rs. 5.08 crore replacement of GI pipe in Gram Panchayat Nichla Lot, Baggi, Sehli, Sai and Kasan under NABARD, Rs. 4.57 crore Lift Water Supply Scheme Srian Patron and Lift Water Supply Scheme Randhara under ADB, Rs. 15.37 crore Lift Water Supply Scheme in Gram Panchayat Bhargaon, Kotli, Chanyara, Upparli Surari and Khalanoo, Rs. 12 crore Lift Water Supply Scheme Chambi, Jola, Jhal, Padhiun in Gram Panchayat Talyar, Padhiun and Sain. He also performed bhoomi pujan Rs. 58 lakh Randhara-Alathu via Chacholo road, Rs. 1.26 crore Upparla Thanout road via Sehali, Rs. 19 lakh road to village Satahan and Rs. 92 lakh road from Banaun to Tharu and Gehra road. He also inaugurated RTPCR based Covid-19 testing facility at RFSL, CR Mandi.
Chief Minister also felicitated the people of the State on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami.
Various Social, political, cultural association etc. honoured the Chief Minister of the occasion.
Jal Shakti Minister Mahender Singh Thakur said that Himachal Pradesh was fortunate that today the State was being headed by Jai Ram Thakur a able and honest leader from Mandi district. He said that this has fulfilled the long pending desire and aspiration on the people of Mandi district. He said that the Jal Jeevan Mission programme of the Union Government has proved a boon to the people of the country and the State. He said that Himachal Pradesh has been ranked the best state for effective implementation of this Mission. He said that 6.04 lakh water taps have been installed in the State during the last about three years.
MLA Mandi Sadar Anil Sharma while welcoming the Chief Minister to his home constituency detailed various developmental demands of the area.
Former MLA D.D. Thakur welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion. He thanked the Chief Minister for sanctioning a special grant of Rs. 15 crore for the newly upgraded Mandi Municipal Corporation. He also thanked the Chief Minister for setting up Shiv Dham in Mandi town by spending about Rs 200 crore.
Mandal BJP President Munish Kapoor and BJYM leader Bhuvnesh Thakur welcomed the Chief Minister and detailed various developmental demands of the area. He also detailed a few developmental demands of the area.
