-Lays foundation stone of Milk Processing Plant at Duttnagar worth Rs. 16.32 crore

While addressing a largely attended public meeting at Lavi Ground Rampur in Shimla district today Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur announced opening of PWD Division at Nankhari and PWD Sub Division at Kholighat, Fire Sub Station at Nankhari and providing new modern X-Ray Plant at Khaneri hospital. He also announced upgradation of Government High School Sanarsa to Government Senior Secondary School, Rs. 60 lakh for construction and maintenance of various roads in Rampur Assembly Segment. He announced upgradation of PHC Rampur to CHC, Rs. 10 lakh for construction of Bhagwan Parshuram gate at entry point of Rampur, Rs. 11 lakh each for four newly created Gram panchayats of the area for construction of panchayat ghars. He also announced Rs. 15 thousand each for Mahila Mandals who participated in the function.
Chief Minister said that the initiatives and steps taken by the State Government during the Corona pandemic were not only appreciated by the Union Government, but also by several State Governments of the country. He said that the State Government ensured that there was no dearth of medicines, beds, oxygen etc. for the patients in the State. He said that the role of doctors, paramedical staff and other frontline workers in tackling the situation has been laudable. He said that as many as 28 oxygen plants were coming up in the State within one year, whereas there were only two oxygen plants in the State. He said the State had only 50 ventilators in at the time of outbreak of corona pandemic, but today the State has over 800 fully functional ventilators in various health institutions. He said that today over 15 lakh PPE kits were being manufactured in the country, whereas earlier the nation had to depend on other countries to get the same.
Jai Ram Thakur said that due to the able and strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a biggest vaccination campaign was being carried out in the country smoothly. He said that the State of Himachal Pradesh has also achieved a unique target of cent percent vaccination of persons above the age of 18 years in the State. He said that special sorties of State chopper were made to carry vaccine to remote area of Bara Bhangal of Kangra district. He said that the State Government also successfully brought home over 2.50 lakh Himachalis stranded in different parts of the country, by making arrangement of special trains and buses. He said that he had also urged the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister to help the State Government in bringing home the stranded Himachalis.
Chief Minister said that he himself was from a humble background with no one in politics and no one from his family would be in active politics in near future. He said that he has better understanding of the developmental requirements of the poor people. He said that several old people of the State has personally written letters to him thanking for enhancing old age pension to Rs. 1500 and lowering the age for availing the benefits of old age pension without income limit from 80 years to 70 years. He said that this age has been further reduced from 70 years to 65 years for old women. He also detailed various welfare schemes launched by the State Government during the last about three and a half years.
While paying tribute to former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister said that he has always had a special respect for former Chief Minister and he also showed special love towards him. He said that although they were from different political ideologies, they had mutual respect for one another. He said that today he has inaugurated and laid foundation stones of 21 developmental projects worth about Rs. 81 crore in Rampur Assembly Segment of Shimla district and budget provision for all the projects inaugurated today was made by the present State Government. He said that the State Government during the present tenure has enhanced the procurement price of milk upto Rs. 7 per litre to benefit the farmers.
Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated eight developmental projects worth Rs. 37.55 crore which include Rs. 4.69 crore ITI building at Kharahan, Rs. 6 crore Administrative Block building of Mahatma Gandhi Government Engineering College Kotla, Rs. 3.11 crore multipurpose hall of Government Senior Secondary School at Taklech, Rs. 19.14 crore GWSS for Rampur town, Rs. 53 lakh remodelling and extension of FIS Shia Ropa in GP Thaili-Chakti, Rs. 68 lakh FIS Karangla in GP Karangla, Rs. 2.90 crore LIS from Nogli khad to Masraan, Kareri, Kamlahu and Thanol in GP Bhadawali and Rs. 50 lakh Gau Shala at Bhadrash in GP Duttnagar.

Chandi Branda, Rs. 1.20 crore GWSS to various habitations of GP Sholi, Khamadi and Kungal Balti, Rs. 2.25 crore GWSS to various habitations in GP Majholi Tipper, Kaleda Majheoti in tehsil Nankhari, Rs. 2.20 crore WSS Seri Majhali in GP Taklech, Rs. 1.11 crore WSS Darkali in GP Darkali, Rs. 86 lakh WSS Kand, Pat in GP Kashapat, Rs. 25 lakh (sanctioned amount) tehsil office building at Nankhari, Rs. 2.97 crore Sub Tehsil building Sarahan, Rs. 1.63 crore Jhinjnoo to Sharog road, Rs. 1.02 crore Primary Health Centre Delath, Rs. 16.32 crore Milk Processing Plant at Duttnagar and Rs. 4 crore Municipal Council Rampur multi storey Car Parking Phase-II at Indira Market Rampur.
Later Chief Minister also paid surprise visit at vaccination centre set up at Government Primary Centre School Rampur and directed the doctors and other staff to ensure that no one is left without vaccination above the age of 18 years.
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar said that the Chief Minister in his one day tour to the Rampur Vidhan Sabha area has dedicated developmental projects worth crores of rupees. He said the Rs. 16.32 crore Milk Processing Plant at Duttnagar would help in transforming the economy of the people of the area. He said that the State Government has established several Gau shalas and cow sanctuaries in the State. He said that Rs. 50 lakh Gau Shala has been established at Bhadrash in gram panchayat Duttnagar.
MP and State BJP President Suresh Kashyap said that the State Government was today being led by an honest, hardworking and dynamic leader Jai Ram Thakur, who himself being from a humble background well understands the developmental needs of the common man. He said that developmental policies of the State Government have brought a pleasant change in life of every Himachali. He said that people of the State have also given their wholehearted support to the Chief Minister in all the elections and by-elections held in the State. He also detailed various developmental schemes initiated by the Centre and the State Governments.
Mandal BJP President Bhimsain welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion and detailed various developmental demands of the area.
