A senior Badminton player Yogesh Chauhan called on Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, alongwith representatives of Luminous Power Technologies, here today.
Yogesh Chauhan from District Solan of Himachal Pradesh is one of the eight players representing India at BWF World Senior Championship 2021 to be hosted at Palacio de los Deportes Carolina Marin in Huelva, Spain from 28th November to 4th December, 2021. Luminous Power Technologies is sponsoring Yogesh Chauhan for this Championship.
While handing over the sponsoring award to Yogesh Chauhan, the Chief Minister said that it was a matter of pride that a player from Himachal Pradesh was representing the state at an International platform and it would be an inspiration to the youth of the state. He wished him great success at the championship and expressed hope that he would bring pride to the country and the state.
Yogesh Chauhan has a significant history of competing in badminton tournaments and winning gold medals both at national and international level. He has also represented India at the BWF World Senior Championship 2019 held at Katowice in Poland.
