BJP again form the Government in the 2022 general elections in the State: Jairam

While addressing the concluding session of BJP Working Committee meeting at Shimla today Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur urged each and every worker of the BJP to work with renewed vigor and commitment to ensure that the BJP again form the Government in the 2022 general elections in the State.

Jai Ram Thakur said that better coordination between the Government and the organization must be ensured and the workers should take the achievements of the State Government to the people. He said that efforts must be made to educate the general public regarding four years achievements of the State Government, due to which the State has emerged as the role model for the other states of the country.

Chief Minister said that as many as 3226 kms motorable road and 136 kms jeepable road had been constructed in the State during the last about four years as compared to 1892 kms motorable roads and 64 kms jeepable roads during the corresponding period of previous Congress Government. He said that cross drainage had been provided on 4141 kms road length and 6301 kms roads tarred during the last about four year of the present Government as compared to 3755 kms and 4020 kms. during the tenure of the previous Congress Government. Similarly, 250 bridges had been constructed in different parts of the State during the last four years as compared to 193 bridges constructed during the tenure of the previous Congress Government, he added.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the present State Government had initiated several welfare schemes to ensure welfare of every section of the society and development of every area of the State. He said that schemes such as Mukhyamantri Grihini Suvidha Yojna, MukhyamantriSahara Yojna, Mukhyamantri HimCare, Shagum Yojna, Social Security Pension Yojna, Mukhiyamantri Swabalaman Yojna etc had ensured that every section of society get covered under the welfare schemes of the State Government. He said that as many as an amount of Rs 2581 crore have been spent on providing social security pension to 6.09 lakh families in the State.

Chief Minister said that Rs 120 crore have been spent on providing free gas cylinder to over 3.22lakh households. He said that this has ensured that the State becomes first state of the country with every household with gas cylinder. He said that as many as 5.20 lakh families have been registered under the HIMCARE to avail the benefit to health insurance upto Rs 5 lakh. He said that 2.07 lakh people have availed the benefit of this scheme and an amount of Rs 165 crore have been spent under this scheme. Sahara Yojna has benefitted over 16,000 beneficiaries and an amount of Rs 43.55 crore had been spent on providing Rs 3000 per month to the families with chronically ill patients, he said.

Jai Ram Thakur said that providing a transparent, accountable and responsive administration to the people of the State has been the main motto of the present State Government. Chief Minister Helpline -1100 and Jan Mancha has been proving a boon to the people of the State for redressal of their grievances. He said that as many as 233 Jan Manchs have been organized in the State in which over 54000 issues have been received and almost all have been resolved. He said that CM Helpline 1100 has received 297141 complaints, out of which 254766 complaints have been redressed. He said that under Shagun Yojna all the daughters belonging to BPL families were being provided Rs 31,000 at the time of their marriage as ‘Shagun’.

Chief Minister said that Mukhayamantri Swabilambam Yojna has benefitted thousands of youths in starting their own self employment ventures. He said that as many as 3700 units have been sanctioned with an investment of Rs 620 crore on which the State Government has provided a grant of Rs 144.67 crore to the beneficiary youth.
