SJVN Thermal Private Limited (STPL) a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN Limited is implementing (2X660) 1320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Plant in Bihar. Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN virtually flagged off the journey of turbine generator from Hazira, Gujarat to Project Site while Sh. Sushil Kumar Sharma, Director (Electrical), SJVN was present at L&T Plant at Hazira. The team STPL along with CEO Sh. Sanjeev Sood also joined the flagging off virtually.
Sh.Sharma apprised that an important component of First Unit i.e. turbine generator has been dispatched to project site from L&T Hazira Plant in Gujarat. Weighing 500 tonnes the turbine generator will reach through sea & Ganges to the Project Site. The turbine generator is expected to reach at project site by the first week of March 2022.By timely dispatching of same an important mile stone in completion of mega project has been accomplished. The First unit of Project is scheduled to be commissioned in June 2023.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Nand Lal Sharma Chairman & Managing Director SJVN, stated that SJVN currently has more than 16000 MW power projects in its portfolio & such initiatives would enable SJVN achieving its Shared Vision of generating 5000 MW by 2023, 12000 MW by 2030 and 25000 MW by 2040 to meet the company’s short-medium-long term objectives.
