Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, while addressing the Mandal Milan Programme of the Shimla Urban assembly contituency at Oak Over here today, said that every Mandal worker must work with greater dedication and commitment to ensure strengthening the Party at the grassroot level.
Chief Minister said that since the Shimla Municipal elections were round the corner, the party workers must work with greater dedication and commitment to ensure massive victory of BJP.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government was also planning to request the Prime Minister to lay foundation stone of Kaithlighat-Shimla bye pass which on completion would provide much needed relief to the commuters as well as the local residents. He said that all the workers should identify chronic issue of the area which could be resolved at the earliest. He said that information regarding programmes of the Chief Minister should be properly disseminated amongst the party workers. He said that policies and programmes of the Central and State Governments should be percolated down upto the lowest ebb so that people could derive benefits from the welfare schemes of the Government.
Chief Minister said that the present State Government has ensured balanced and alround development of the Shimla town. He said that the town has been developed under the Smart City Project. He said that every part worker must come forward to ensure the BJP again comes to power in 2022 assembly elections. He said that Atal Tunnel was the biggest gift to the people of Lahaul valley.
Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, while welcoming the Chief Minister and others, said that every party worker of Shimla Urban would work with renewed zeal to ensure that BJP again comes to power in the State. He said that the party would also succeed in retaining the Shimla Municipal Corporation reigns. He said that the Congress was now a past and BJP was the present as well as future. He said that a mega drinking water supply scheme for Shimla town was underway from Satluj river which would solve the water problems of Shimla town for next 30 years.
Mandal BJP President Rajesh Sharda welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion.
