In these clinics, around 50,424 pregnant women have been screened; have been provided diagnostic and counseling services from April 2021 to February 2022.
The Government Spokesperson said that in PMSMA, high risk pregnancies are identified based on medical history and clinical conditions. In case, a beneficiary is categorized as high risk pregnancy, the doctor would make a note of the same in red ink on the PMSMA OPD slip. The doctor would prescribe the required treatment as per guidelines and attach the beneficiary to the nodal health worker (ASHA). The ASHA then provide the details of the high risk pregnancy to the health worker of Health & Wellness Centre-Health subcentre, who ensure their appropriate treatment and regular follow up.
