Keeping in view the top priority for ensuring health services to poor and needy persons, state government started Mukya Mantri Himcare Yojna and till now free health care services have been provided to 2.20 lacs patients in the state by spending Rs. 225 crore. This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur after inaugurating the Dialysis Unit established at the cost of Rs. 80 lacs at Dr. Rajender Prasad Government Medical College Tanda, today.
He said about 100 patients had to go to Chandigarh or other institutes out of the state for dialysis every month. Now these patients would be treated at Tanda. Dialysis facility would be free of cost to card holders of Himcare and Ayushman Bharat Yojna. Non-card holder would have to pay Rs.1047.
