A delegation of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Himachal Pradesh led by State President Madan Rana called upon Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur at Shimla, today. The delegation expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister for taking various steps towards the welfare of different sections of the society and enhancing the wages of daily wagers in the Budget 2022-23.
While addressing the delegation, the Chief Minister said that the Budget would prove beneficial to every section of the society. He said that minimum wage of unskilled daily wagers has been increased by Rs. 50 to Rs. 350 per day. He said that during the tenure of the present government, daily wage has been increased to Rs. 140 per day. He said that honorarium of Anganwadi workers has been enhanced to Rs. 1700, ASHA workers to Rs. 1825 and SMC teachers to Rs. 1000. Similarly, the honorarium of employees working in various departments has also been increased to Rs. 900 per month.
Seh-Sangathan Mantri of Northern Zone Rakesh Sharma, State Vice-President Mangat Ram Negi, Industrial In-charge Mela Ram Chandel, General Secretary Yashpal Hetta and other prominent persons were also present on this occasion.
