• Khanna accused Punjab Police of “abducting” its leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, and alleged that Kejriwal is pursuing vendetta through the state police.
• He said Kejriwal is running a dummy government in Punjab. This incident is an endorsement of this allegation.
The Himachal Herald, Shimla
BJP state incharge Avinash Rai Khanna said the arrest of Delhi BJP spokesperson Tajinder Singh Bagga by Punjab police is quite unfortunate. Aam Aadmi party is misusing power to settle score with opponents. AAP is trying to suppress the voice of the public, they are not at all open to critics. If a person tries to show their true face to the public AAP reacts in a hostile manner that is unethical.
He said Kejriwal is running a dummy government in Punjab. This incident is an endorsement of this allegation.
He said a team of Punjab Police officials arrested the BJP leader from his Delhi residence.
The Delhi Police said they were not informed of Bagga’s arrest and lodged a kidnapping case against the Punjab cops. The Punjab Police team was subsequently halted in Haryana by the local police, who handed Bagga over to Delhi cops. Is it possible that Punjab police had not taken delhi police into confidence?
He said Around 50 cops in 10-12 vehicles came to arrest Bagga from his residence. Is it justified that such a big foce is engaged for a cyber complaint?
Bagga is no terrorist he is a normal citizen.
However the team, while taking Bagga to Mohali by road, was stopped near Kurukshetra by the Haryana Police.
Asked why the Punjab police team had been stopped, a Haryana police official said there was information that Bagga had been “forcibly” picked up from his residence.
This shows the ill intention of AAP government in Delhi and in Punjab.
The Punjab government filed a habeas corpus petition before the Punjab and Haryana high court alleging illegal detention of its police personnel by Haryana. The petition was dismissed by the court.
Is completely shows how AAP in misusing power to influence the Punjab police.
There is nothing above the court.
The Questions have been raised about the manner of arrest of Tajinder Bagga.
Delhi Police, which is under the Union Home ministry, registered a case of kidnapping based on a complaint by Bagga’s father that some people came to his house in Delhi’s Janakpuri around 8 am and took away his son.
It has come to my notice that when police personnel came to bagga’s home and dragged Tajinder out. When his father picked up his mobile phone to record a video of the incident, police took him to another room and punched him in the face, this shows their barbaric act.
Avinash rai khanna said Bagga was arrested from Delhi illegally by Punjab police. BJP cited a Delhi High court ruling which says arrest can’t be done without informing the local police, and alleged procedural lapses.
Khanna has accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of pursuing politics of vendetta. BJP workers are not going to be scared by the Kejriwal government’s hooliganism and autocratic attitude. We will not stop and will give a befitting reply to any injustice.
He accused Punjab Police of “abducting” its leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, and alleged that Kejriwal is pursuing vendetta through the state police.
Khanna slammed Kejriwal and said Bagga had been picked up for “unmasking” his lies.
“It is said that if you want to see someone’s real face, give that person power. The real character and face of Kejriwal has now come to the fore,” he said.
