CM dedicates and lays foundation stone of developmental projects of Rs. 102 crore at Rohru

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur performed inaugurations and foundation stone of 29 developmental projects worth about Rs.102 crore at Rohru in Rohru Assembly Constituency in Shimla district today during his one day tour to the area.
While addressing a mammoth public meeting at Ramleela Ground Rohru, Jai Ram Thakur announced upgradation of Government High School Todsa to Senior Secondary School, opening of Veterinary Dispensary at Baridhar, one additional storey to be constructed in Mukhya Mantri Lok Bhawan Samoli, opening of sub tehsils at Samarkot and Dhamwari, construction of bypass road from Bhautinallah-Gangtoli-Rohru-Samala-Anu, Rs. 30 lakh for construction of Sarai Bhawan at Samoli, construction of forest Rest House at Rantari, upgradation of 20 bedded CHC Sandasu to 50 bedded CHC, construction of Helipad at Kulgaon, starting of electrician trade in ITI Chirgaon and trades of electrician and plumber in ITI Dodra kawar. He said that Civil Hospital Rohru would be strengthened and CT Scan facility would be provided soon.
He also announced Rs. 11,000 each from his discretionary fund to each mahila mandal which participated in the function. He said that parking would be constructed at Rohru. He also announced Rs. 7 lakh for construction of a link road of the area.
Chief Minister said that during the corona pandemic, the National leadership had ensured that no one in the country was deprived of food, masks, sanitizers and other essentialities during the pandemic. He said that it was due to the endeavours of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the nation succeeded in developing indigenous vaccines and launching the biggest vaccination campaign of the world. He said that this ensured that the effects of the pandemic were not as severe as in most of other developed countries. He said that the State Government also ensured effective steps to curb the spread of this virus and the State also emerged first in the country of cent percent vaccination of the eligible age group in the State.
Jai Ram Thakur said that all the developmental projects inaugurated by him today were envisioned by the present State Government and were completed within stipulated time period. He said that foundation stone of Rs. 23 crore Civil Hospital building at Rohru, which was inaugurated by him today, was laid by the former State Government, but the present State Government provided Rs. 16 crore for completion of this ambitious project. He said that the Congress believes in making tall claims, whereas the present State Government believes in working with dedication.
Chief Minister said that it was after 37 years that any government succeeded in repeating its Government in Uttar Pradesh. He said that the Congress candidates lost their security in 389 seats and AAP candidates forfeited their security in all the 379 seats which they fought. He said that it was for the first time that any Government succeeded in repeating its Government in Uttrakhand. He said that the Prime Minister considers Himachal Pradesh its second home and has decided to celebrate 8 years of the tenure of the Union Government at Shimla on 31st of this month. He said that in the month of June the Prime Minister would also be visiting the State first at Chamba and thereafter at Dharamshala.
Jai Ram Thakur said that BJP was a party of common man whereas on the other hand the Congress was a party of a particular family. He said that Congress leaders even politicized Himachali cap, which was a pride of the State. He said that the present State Government completely rejected the politics of cap and region and ensured balanced and equitable development of the State. He said that the previous Congress Government in its tenure did nothing for the welfare of the people and only resorted to tall claims and false promises. On the other hand, the present State Government believes in ensuring welfare of every section of the society and development of every area of the State, he added.
Chief Minister said that the people of the State have immensely been benefitted by various welfare schemes and developmental programmes launched by the present State Government during the last over four and a half years. He said that Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, Ayushman Bharat Yojna, Ujjawal Yojna etc of the Centre Government have benefitted lakhs of people of the State. Similarly, State schemes such as Grihini Suvidha Yojna, Sahara Yojna, HIMCARE, Mukhyamantri Swavlamban Yojna had benefitted almost every household of the State, he added.
Jai Ram Thakur said that going a step forward, the State Government on the occasion of Himachal Day this year has announced to provide 50 per cent concession on fare in HTRC buses for women and free power upto 125 unit per month to domestic electric consumers. He said that the State Government has also decided that free water would be provided in rural areas of the State. He said that these welfare efforts of the Government were not going well with the Congress leaders. He said that the monthly honorarium of Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi Sahayikas and Asha workers have been increased considerably. He said that honorarium of sewing teachers, mid-day meal workers, Water Carrier (Education Department) have been increased considerably. He said that now the Anganwari Workers would now get honorarium of Rs.9000, Mini Anganwari Workers Rs.6000, Anganwari Sahayikas Rs.4600, Asha Workers Rs.4700, Silai Teachers Rs.7850 and Mid Day Meal Workers Rs.3400 per month. He said that daily wages of daily wagers have been increased by Rs. 50 per day which is now Rs 350 per day.
Earlier, Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated Rs. 30 lakh Mukhya Mantri Lok Bhawan Samoli, Rs. 23 crore Civil Hospital building, Rohru, Rs. 1.42 crore Type-IV quarter at Seema college, Rs.4.86 crore Government Senior Secondary School building Gaonsari, Rs.4.19 crore Andhara Jhajwani Gyari road, Rs. 1.52 crore augmentation of water supply scheme Rohru town, Rs. 1.28 crore LWSS to NC/PC habitation of village Astani, Munchhara and adjoining villages GP Munchara, Rs. 2.21 crore 22 KV Control Point Kansakoti, Rs. 2.03 crore 22 KV Control Point Chirgaon, Rs. 2.13 crore 22 KV Control Point Gumma, Rs. 45 lakh Forest Rest House Sheelghat and Rs. 64 lakh SE PWD residence at Rohru.
Chief Minister performed foundation stone laying ceremonies of Rs. 10.25 crore Devidhar (Banoti) Lal Pani Mathla road, Rs. 5.67 crore PSC single lane bridge at Sandhour, Rs. 12.73 crore LWSS/GWSS to various habitation under Jal Shakti Division Rohru, Rs. 1.99 crore LWSS to NC/PC villages Goskwari, Gaonsari and its surrounding areas and LWSS to PCFC habitation of CV Suna Pani Khashadhar in GP Khashadhar, Rs. 2.98 crore lift water supply scheme Bharoli, Dharot and adjoining villagers under GP Brall and Sheel, Rs. 60 lakh Gravity Water Supply Scheme to Harijan Basti Kashmolta in GP Sheel, Rs. 5.20 crore functional household tap connections to village Chillala and its surrounding villages in G.P. Bhampad and Chirgaon, Rs. 5.54 crore functional household tap connections to village Thali Jangla and its surrounding area in GP Jangla, Rs. 2.76 crore functional household tap connections in Badiyara and its surrounding area in G.P. Kulgaon and Rs. 90 lakh LWSS Harijan Basti DPF Kalgaon Chunger.
Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stones of Rs. 76 lakh BSNL Mobile Tower at Chanshal and data connectivity to Dodra Kwar, Rs. 61 lakh Ayurvedic Health Centre Saribasa, Rs. 2.82 crore Sub tehsil at Jangla, Rs. 1.88 crore motorable bridge over Mathrate khad at Bhamwari, Rs. 1.22 crore motorable bridge over Pabbar river at Barshil, Rs. 72 lakh Health Centre at Amboi and Rs. 81 lakh motorable bridge over Andhra khad to village Rausi.
Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said that the people of the State were fortunate that a person coming from a humble background was heading the State. He said that thus the Chief Minister understands the sufferings and developmental needs of the common people. He said that 50 percent reservation in the PRIs was given during the tenure of the BJP Government in the State. He said that this has ensured active participation of women in the process of development.
Chairman HP State Cooperative Bank Khushi Ram Balnahta, while thanking the Chief Minister for being considerate towards the developmental demands of the area, said that people of Rohru Assembly Constituency would surely give massive mandate to the BJP in the coming Vidhan Sabha elections.
Chairperson HP Land Mortgage Bank Shashi Bala while welcoming the Chief Minister detailed a few developmental demands of the area. She also thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating and laying foundation stones of developmental projects about Rs.102 crore for Rohru Assembly Constituency.
Mandal BJP President Baldev Ranta welcomed the Chief Minister and detailed various demands of the area.
