A delegation of the Truck Operators Union called on Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur at Oakover here today.
The delegation apprised the Chief Minister about the various demands of the truck operators. He assured them to study the case of interest and penalty on Passenger and goods tax and to extend the due date for permits.
The delegation said that the truck operators were facing great difficulty in getting the permits which was a huge problem for thousands of truck operators of Baddi, Nalagarh and all over Himachal Pradesh.
The Chief Minister directed the concerned department to take appropriate action and the department have now issued a notification to extend the last date in this regard from 30th June to 31st December, 2022.
For this, the truck operators have expressed their gratitude to the State Government and especially to the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
MLA Paramjeet Singh Pammi, former MLA K.L. Thakur, Jogindra Bank President Yogesh Bharatiya were also present on the occasion among others.
