Har Ghar Tiranga- a nationwide campaign would be launched to encourage people to hoist the national flag at their homes to mark the 75th Independence Day on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. This was stated by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah while virtually addressing the Lt. Governors and Chief Ministers of the States and Union Territories from New Delhi today.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the Indian National Flag was a symbol of national pride for the entire nation and the people of the nation should pay their utmost respect and reverence to the flag. “The Initiative will inspire the people to hoist the national flag in their homes which will invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people,” he added.
Jai Ram Thakur said that Himachal Pradesh would make all out efforts to ensure that every house, Government, private, industrial and educational buildings hoists the Tricolour from 13th to 15th August to celebrate the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subhasish Panda, Secretary LAC Rakesh Kanwar, Director Rural Development Rugved Thakur and Director Language, Art and Culture (LAC) Dr. Pankaj Lalit were present with the Chief Minister on the occasion.
