CM presides over 75 years of establishment of Progressive Himachal in Nalagarh

Chief Minister inaugurates and lays foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs. 83 crore for Nalagarh region

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur presided over the ‘Pragatisheel Himachal: Sathapna ke 75 Varsh’ programme organized at Nalagarh in Solan district today. On this occasion, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of various developmental projects for the Nalagarh region worth about Rs. 83 crore.
While addressing a huge public meeting at Nalagarh, Jai Ram Thakur said that with the cooperation of the people of the state, the vision of the leadership and the untiring hard work of the officers and employees, today Himachal was top in the country on various parameters of development. He said that the main objective of organizing 75 Years of formation of the State celebrations was to express gratitude to the people of the state for their full cooperation in development. He said that through these events, along with providing information about the struggle for development of Himachal to the younger generation, they were also being motivated for positive participation in future.
Chief Minister said that the state has set many records of development in its journey of 75 years. He said that in the year 1948 at the time of formation of the state, there were only 228 km of roads and at present about 40,000 km of roads were paving the way for development in the state. He said that former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee gave impetus to industrialization in the state and the industrial package provided by him made Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh area of Solan district the best industrial area and BBN area was today the best pharmaceutical hub of Asia.
Jai Ram Thakur said that needy families have been benefitted by many schemes viz. HIMCARE, Mukhya Mantri Sahara Yojna, Mukhya Mantri Grihini Suvidha Yojna, Mukhya Mantri Swabalamban Yojna, Mukhya Mantri Shagun Yojna etc. The social security pension has been substantially increased and the age limit for getting old age pension without income limit has been reduced from earlier 80 years to 70 years and now it has been reduced to 60 years, He added. “An amount of Rs. 1300 crore has been spent by the present State government on providing social security pension to the needy, whereas the previous government had spent only Rs. 400 crore” Chief Minister said.
On the occasion, Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated Rs. 3.02 crore Lift Water Supply scheme for Hada Kundi Khol Beli and other villages of Doon assembly constituency, Rs. 2.21 crore Water Supply scheme for Kheda Nichla, Kheda Gharat and other villages of Gram Panchayat Kheda of Nalagarh assembly constituency, Rs. 85.30 lakh reconnection and improvement work of Lift Water Supply scheme Kheda Chak in tehsil Nalagarh under Jal Jeevan Mission, Rs. 88.52 lakh improvement work of Lift Water Supply scheme in Tikkari village of Gram Panchayat Bagheri, Rs. 1.92 crore upgradation work of Lift Water Supply scheme for Bhini ki Johri, Banni and group of nearby partially covered villages of tehsil Nalagarh, Rs. 1.15 crore reconnection and improvement work of Lift Water Supply scheme Chharoli Brahmana in Nalagarh tehsil and Rs. 2.06 crore Lift Water Supply scheme Kangwal and Dhang Uparli in tehsil Nalagarh.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated Rs. 62 lakh Trauma Center at Community Health Center Nalagarh, Rs. 45.59 lakh Dialysis Center at CHC Nalagarh and Rs. 1.21 crore Primary Health Center building at Nand.
Jai Ram Thakur also dedicated Rs. 10.68 crore Government Degree College building at Buranwala (Barotiwala) under Doon assembly constituency from Nalagarh.
The Chief Minister inaugurated Rs. 55 Lakh RCC Bridge over Kheda Khad from Kheda Nichla Gharat to Kheda Dadi road, Kania in Nalagarh Tehsil and Rs. 1.41 crore Women ITI building Nihla Palasra. He also inaugurated Rs.15.70 crore 66/11 KV power sub-station of HPSEB ltd. and Rs.33 lakh office of Assistant Engineer of HPSEB in Ramshahr.
Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stones of Rs. 31.33 crore resource augmentation works of various Lift Water Supply schemes in Nalagarh tehsil, Rs. 5.15 crore source augmentation works of various Lift Water Supply schemes in Nalagarh tehsil. He also laid the foundation stone for Rs. 2.33 crore resource augmentation works of various Lift Water Supply schemes for tube wells in tehsil Nalagarh and Rs. 1.26 crore renovations and modernization work of power sub-station of HPSEB at Majhauli.
“The Congress party today is directionless and leaderless. On one hand the Congress is doing Bharat Jodo Yatra while on the other hand the Quit Congress campaign is going on all over the country. Today the thinking of Congress has also gone bankrupt” said the Chief Minister. After Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Goa, Manipur, the customs will change in Himachal also, he added.
He assured that various demands of the area would be considered sympathetically.
Nalagarh MLA Lakhwinder Rana said on the occasion that Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has ensured equitable and balanced development of the state. The life of the common man has become easy due to the welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments, he added.
Former Nalagarh MLA K.L. Thakur said the State Government has left no stone unturned for the development of Nalagarh assembly constituency and presently Nalagarh region has emerged as a model of development.
Doon MLA Paramjit Singh Pammi, Chairman Jogendra Cooperative Bank Yogesh Bhartiya, District BJP President Ashutosh Vaidya, Nalagarh BJP Mandal President Baldev Thakur, Zilla Parishad member Rahul Sharma, President Municipal Council Nalagarh Reena Sharma, other councilors, Water Management Board members, Vice President Darshan Singh Saini, Vice President of State Gau Seva Commission Ashok Sharma, senior officials of BJP and BJYM, Chief Executive Officer of Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Development Authority Dr. Richa Verma, Deputy Commissioner Solan Kritika Kulhari, Superintendent of Police Baddi Mohit Chawla, other senior officials and dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
