Urges Bilaspur legislators to participate in meeting

To resolve the deadlock over freight charges between the Cement Company and Truck operator Unions, Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has urged all the legislators of Bilaspur district to participate in the meeting to be held on 3rd February, 2023 at 4 PM in his office.
Earlier, Chief Minister held detailed discussions with the representatives of both Darlaghat Truck Operators and ACC Barmana Truck Operators Union late on Wednesday evening, and asked them to consult all the stakeholders to reach a common consensus on freight rates and submit a proposal to the government. The operator unions sought two days time to place their proposal before the state government after consultations with all the stakeholders.
He said that the Government was making concerted efforts to resolve the stalemate amicably at the earliest. The truck operators lauded the efforts being initiated by the state Government and expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for prioritizing to resolve the issue pertaining to both the parties.
Industries Minister, Harshwardhan Chauhan, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Sanjay Awasthi, MLAs Rajesh Dharmani, Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, Principal Secretary Transport, R.D. Nazeem, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Bharat Khera, Director Food and Supplies, Department K.C. Chaman, Director Industries, Rakesh Prajapati, Director Transport, Anupam Kashyap and representatives of both the truck operators Union were present in the meeting.
