Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today participated in the dialogue programme organized with newly elected Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members, Gram Panchayat Pradhans and Up-Pradhans and ward members of Balichoki area of Mandi district held in the auditorium of Senior Secondary School, Balichoki. He congratulated all the members for winning the elections.
On this occasion, he asked everyone to rise above the ideological point of view on the path of development and work as partners. Describing the training given to the representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions as important, he said that they should be sensitive about this training so that they could be able to discharge their duties well by being aware of their duties and rights.
The Chief Minister said that the budget comes directly to the Panchayats through various means for development. In this case, the responsibility of Panchayat representatives increases even more. He said that Panchayat representatives should carry out development works with transparency, fairness and honesty. He said that there are unlimited possibilities in the work to be done under MNREGA. Therefore, representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions should take new initiative in this direction and also play an important role in giving practical form to various schemes of the government.
He said that Swarna Jayanti Gram Swaraj Sammelan will be organized after the assembly session
