The Government Spokesperson informed that the in order to end TB by 2021 the Health Department is implementing the scheme “Nikshay Poshan Yojana” wherein incentives are provided for nutritional support to all the TB patients. He said that all TB patients notified on or after 1st April 2018 including all existing TB patients under treatment are eligible to receive the incentives. The patient must be registered or notified on the NIKSHAY portal.
The Government Spokesperson told that a financial incentive of Rs. 500/- per month is given for each notified TB patient for duration for which the patient is on anti-TB treatment. He added that the scheme is registered under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The incentives can be distributed in Cash (only via DBT preferably through Aadhaar enabled bank accounts).
The Government Spokesperson said that the scheme is a centrally sponsored scheme under National Health Mission (NHM). The District wise status as on 20.10.2021 under this scheme is compiled below:
