Giving a new direction to the activities of Himachal Pradesh Police Training College, Daroh, Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh, Sh. Jai Ram Thakur laid the foundation stone of various buildings worth Rs. 30 crore at the institute today. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a modern library worth Rs.6 crore, Mini Scientific Laboratory worth Rs.8.26 crore, Multipurpose Building worth Rs.12.57 crore and Type IV and V housing buildings worth Rs.3.83 crore. Hon’bleChief Minister congratulated Himachal Pradesh Police Training College for bagging Union Home Minister’s Trophy when it stood first twice in different categories of training on two different occasions. He promised that Himachal Pradesh Government is committed towards providing every assistance in making the institute excellent at national level.
It is worth mentioning that this institution has trained thousands of jawans making them capable for public service. Atpresent about 237 trainees of Upper Class Course, Driver Promotional Course, Drill and Probationer Sub-Inspectors are under training at this institute and around 100 officers will report for the upper class course from April 15. After the completion of ongoing recruitment process, the basic training of about 1334 recruits will start from June/July. On this occasion, Principal, HPPTC, Shri Bimal Gupta, IPS thanked the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh, Shri Jai Ram Thakur, Speaker, Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha, Shri Vipin Parmar and Director General of Police, Shri Sanjay Kundu for giving a new impetus to the infrastructure of the Institute. The women constables posted in the institute thanked the Chief Minister on behalf of Director General of Police and all the constables of theState Police for providing them higher pay scale.
