A delegation of HP Tax Bar Association Shimla called on Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, last evening. The delegation requested Chief Minister for extension of last date for filling applications under HP Legacy Cases Resolution Scheme which is going to expire on 31st March, 2021.
The Bar Association apprised the Chief Minister that the applications under the scheme could not be submitted within prescribed time due to lockdown in wake of Covid-19 pandemic as physical movement was totally disrupted. They said that the joint efforts of Department officials, consultants and dealers have resulted in collection of more than Rs. 362 crores revenue.
Chief Minister said that the demands of the Association would be considered sympathetically.
President HP Bar Association Rakesh Sharma, Members Chander Shekhar Verma, Ramesh Sharma, Yashpal, Varun Gupta and Rohit were also present on the occasion.
