The Special Judge, CBI Cases, Panchkula (Haryana) has sentenced Shri Davinder Singh, then Sub Inspector of Railway Protection Force, Jakhal(Haryana) to undergo four years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs.40,000/- in a bribery case. CBI had registered a case on 14.09.2016 on a complaint against the accused. It was alleged that Shri Davinder Singh, SI, RPF Post, Jakhal (Haryana) was demanding bribe of Rs.30,000/- in lieu of releasing the complainant and his fellow labourers who were detained by the accused in RPF Post, Jakhal Railway Station. The bribe amount was negotiated and reduced to Rs.10,000/-. A trap was laid on 14.09.2016 and the accused was caught while demanding & accepting bribe of Rs.10,000/- After investigation, charge sheet was filed in the court of Special. Judge, CBI Cases, Panchkula(Haryana) against the accused. The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted him.
